Just some time off RWPS for a moment...Feeling reflective, patriotic and really emotional after watching NDP 2009 off my home's tv screen.
It's amazing how Singapore have changed so much and
This is where I really want to call it my home.
Guess for many of us Singapore's birthday might mean a teeny weeny thing to them, however, I feel differently this year.
Singapore had been through so many things that we, the Gen Y people may not know.
The government has done so much for us, making everything so convenient for us that we seem to be taking everything for granted. Mr Lee Kwan Yew and our other pioneers had done so much more than we can ever imagine to bring our country to such great heights and had kept his word to make this place a metropolis.
Kind of making me cherish what I've got now.
Living in Singapore, with the different races coming together in harmony, with the political stability...I just wish these things will never change because it is all these things that make up the Little Red Dot. :)
Looking at the previous NDP parades, the effort that this year's NDP team and committee had put in must be really big!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING NDP'09 SUCH A SUCCESS!!!
I shall make sure this feelings won't fade after the birthday celebration of Singapore, and I'll always feel fortunate and happy for who I am and Where I come from! My future, my home!!!
Anyway, I wish I could be at the NDP this year, it was so grand and fantastic even watching from screen gave me that kind of excitement and happiness and many more emotions!
-I am proud to be a Singaporean even if people do not know Singapore actually exist or even if they do not know where it is because they're just missing out on what a wonderful place Singapore is-
